Sterling Campbell (Drummer for David Bowie, Duran Duran) lends talents to NoManZero at DC Party Show

Saturday, July 3rd, turned out to be a VERY special day for NoManZero. The event was held at D.C.'s very hip Dupont Circle park in the heart of the Arts and Music district that includes galleries, music clubs and hip clothing stores. That day was a unique on for NoManZero for a number of reasons. To make this easy on on those of you kindly taking the time read this those reasons are listed below in separate paragraphs................

1) The event was a "Party to End the Party" which translates into a very public event to show support for those brave souls that have chosen to resign from the brutal communist party in China (all 2.8 million of them as of this writing!) So needless to say, being asked to perform at such an important event in front of hundreds of attendees and fans (and countless passer-bys) was reason number one.

2) NoManZero's show was super-charged by one of the music industry's most respected drummers. Sterling Campbell is already very well known to fans of David Bowie and Duran Duran. He worked as a full-time member of Duran Duran in the early 90's and has spent his time since in the coveted drum seat for Bowie himself. Sterling, being a very cool person mindful of the importance of the event, stepped in to fill the drum seat of NoManZero. Needless to say, NoManZero's show was enhanced and supercharged even though Sterling was stepping in and playing absolutely on the spot without ever having heard the songs before! Sterling deserves some special kudos for laying down grooves that had the audience popping. One might be interested in knowing that this is not Sterling's first time in very heavy situations in regard to the effort to reduce persecution for truth seekers and peace makers in China.  Right On Sterling!!

3) NoManZero was interviewed second time by New Tang Dynasty Television. The interview took place at the serene and scenic water-fountain at Dupont Circle park and focused on why the band was involved in the cause for Chinese freedom and what the future plans for the band. ( A full length CD in the fall. See the Latest News link off the main page in the earlier postings for more on this.)
